This product is not what I expected. It is a floppy piece of plastic that looks more like an ill-conceived wig than an helmet. It does not have the shape shown in the picture when it is on your head. Not fun and not deluxe. I am not returning it because it is kind of late and I don't want to bother with that, but I can't believe how much this product costed and how bad it looks.

I bought 10 of these helmets to turn into rhino heads for a college production of Ionesco's Rhinoceros. They look good, but I was hoping to paint them green or to glue green fabric onto them. This has proven to be difficult, if not impossible. Spray paint destroys the helmet materiial or stays sticky indefinitely, even if it's latex paint or paint made especially for plastic. I have sanded and washed them, trying to get many different adhesives to stick to the surface, but no luck so far. The sales rep I ordered them from couldn't tell me what they are made of and said that it might be difficult to apply glue or paint to them, so I was forewarned, but I was still hoping that I'd be able to find some way of changing the helmets' color and texture. I also have the same reaction to the bottom front of the helmet as other customers have had. You definitely have to find a way to keep the "flaps" from slapping you in the face or curling away from the head.

I am planning to use this for a Vacation Bible School this summer. We have bought other helmets in the past that are like this and I did not pick up on the fact that this is more like rubber than plastic. Plastic helmets work better for us and are not as hot as the rubber.

My husband needed a brass helmet to portray Goliath in a production we were doing for our church. We looked all over for a solid material helmet. We had our doubts when we purchased this helmet, but it works perfectly. The size, the shape, the color were all exactly what we were looking for.

This is a great helmet. Yes, the plastic is soft, but that makes it fit a wide range of heads and adds to the comfort. My husband thought I would have to split it down the back to make it fit, but it fit really well. It is not so soft and limp that the nose and cheek pieces flail about. I am not sure what "detail" people are talking about. It's just sort of pock-marked, not that that bothers me. Now all I have to do is convince him that he really shouldn't wear his glasses.
