This prop will work great with my witch. It is a little small, but it's easy to set up and looks somewhat realistic when placed on a table. While in operation, the water bubbles, the lights change color, and mist floats out as if someone was cooking soup. The only foreseeable drawback which I can find is that the surrounding area around the cauldron does get wet. This does not make it suitable for placement on surfaces which are susceptible to water damage. Overall, I highly recommend this prop.

I like the fact that you get the same great effect of dry ice with just tap water. Our 6 year old loved this years addition to our Halloween Props for the Trick or Treaters.

So simple....just add water and plug it in! Immediately started smoking. No odor, didn't have to refill the entire night. This would be asesome in a larger size, but this one is perfect as a tabletop centerpiece.

I initially bought this smoking cauldron for use on a table, outside, on Halloween night. However, I found it to be so cute that I added to part of my indoor entranceway decor. It currently sits in one of my "nooks," easily accessible. With the flip of a switch, I have a fogging, colorful display that delights all who see it. I love the fact that it only needs electricity and tap water to do its thing. I would gladly buy this item again. Future changes I'd like to see: The choice of a larger version of this product, the ability to use batteries or electricity to power it, and a sturdier internal base holder.

I read the other reviews and prepared myself to not expect anything too special. Well, it exceeded our expectations! What a fun prop - and you simply cannot beat the price; and I love how it doesn't require stinky fog juice! It is going to be used as part of our bar centerpiece with my witch 'crouching' behind it. Turns out the cauldron size is perfectly proportional to the witch's hands so I have both of her hands resting on the edge. The cauldron was easy to put together and wasn't quite as messy (splashy) as I had expected it to be, but I will heed others' advice and put a towel underneath it anyway come party time. Every night when I walk past it, I shut off the kitchen lights and turn the thing on to just admire it for a couple minutes because it's just so cool to look at. Another plus is it's sitting very near a window that I crack open just enough to where a slight breeze comes in and occasionally blows the vapor around a bit, adding to the 'smoky' effect. The only (slight) drawback I foresee is I will have to remember to check its water level during the party as I suspect it will need to be refilled several times over the course of the evening. (Perhaps I can set a timer...) I cannot wait for my guests to see it on Halloween night!
