The Ahoy Matey Child Costume includes: A red, white and blue satin-feel dress. Sheer puff sleeves, delicate trim and sequined accents are positively pretty finishing touches. An attached white petticoat and a sailor hat, decorated with sequined accents and an anchor appliqué, are also included with this design.   • a few issues

    got the outfit in on time just as agreed on ... however i ordered a 10 / 12 girls dress but it fit like a 10/ 12 shirt that barely went past my petite daughters bottom .... ( we had ordered this dress for a pageant that was 2 weeks away ... so we had no time to reorder ) we went down and bought a white pair of capri leggings and some white tennies and put red , white , blue ribbons in them ) the judges loved it ....also my daughter did complain it was itchy .... and the fabric is really thin ( definetly not for a active kid )

  • costume ripped

    I ordered a childs medium, but it was tiny - more like a preschool size. I would recommend ordering much larger than you would think. The front piece of the costume ripped the first time it was put on. It is a unique, cute costume - I needed something for a 1940s theme - but not very durable.

  • Way too small!

    My daughter wears a 10 or 12 kids (she is 10 and slender and fit within the sizing charts criteria). I ordered the child large. It was so short it looked like a shirt (stopped just below her waist). The petticoat however, hung down to her knees. I thought it was an error (it truly looked like a size 6x something a 5 year old could wear). I re-ordered it again in the same size thinking that the sizing was mixed up in the warehouse. No such luck. The second one came it identical to the first. If the petticoat had not been so big I would have gone with a larger size but it was at least 12 inches longer than the top layer. A real disapointment to my daughter.

    i really liked the costume it was kinda short and itchy but i didnt care i looked really cute and every one gave me lots of copliments!
