Fun Facts

Meerkats are little guys weighing in at only about one and a half pounds. They use their tails to balance, so they can stand up and look out for predators. Also, they have built-in sunglasses in the way of black patches around their eyes that help deflect the hot desert sun’s glare. Meerkats live in Southern Africa in big, tight-knit groups with their aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, and family friends. These highly social mammals use body language, sounds, and scents to communicate extremely well. They cooperate in many ways, such as by babysitting each other’s kids. Plus, they even have a little fun by competing in wrestling matches and foot races! Their homes are made up of a system of tunnels, which the Meerkats dig so they can hunt for their underground food. And what do they eat? Why bugs and rodents of course! This crawly cuisine is a feast Meerkats love to have on their menu!

  • Son wears daily!

    My son has worn this and the otter costume almost every day for over a year now. At first I thought it was way too small, I just could not get it on and I almost handed it down, brand new! Soo glad I gave it another try, the lining was getting stuck to my son's feet, but now we have no trouble. The lining is a soft satiny material and the costume washes well. He goes with it outside all the time, and the feet have held up really well. This and the otter have really been the best costume/clothing purchase I have ever made. My son just turned 3, is in the 97% in both height and weight, and I fully expect we will get another years's usage out of this. This must be REALLY comfy because my son has so many other costumes, but he prefers these two. It's so warm and cozy! Perfect for our German weather.

  • Too dang cute!

    Bought this for 18 month old wearing nephew, bought 18-24 and it fit good. nice and warm, and didn't seem scratchy.

  • Great costume

    This costume was great. It was a little big on my 15 mo old son but still worked out well. This is a great costume for cold weather, he stayed warm while being outdoors.

  • So cute!

    This is such a cute costume. I can't wait for Halloween. It does run small, though. I actually had to remove the bottom of the feet so that my son's feet would fit. Other than that, it is very nice fabric, seems warm, and is really cute.

  • I LOVE IT!!

    I absolutely fell in love with this costume for my toddler! She loves to watch the Meerkat show on tv so there was no question that this would be her costume when I saw it. It is heavy, so I won't have to worry about her getting to cold on Halloween night. The only problem that I found with it is that it is a bit big for her, but with a few safety pins and maybe some tack stitching to keep her from walking out of it, it will be perfect. She loves to put the hat on and play with it :).
