These boots are a great addition to any pirate or military costume - very versatile. They are decent quality, but not amazing - the fabric feels like felt. They are extremely tight on the calves so if you are bigger I wouldn't recommend buying them. I am around a size 8 in pants and I could barely get them zipped up.

I read every review before I clicked purchase. So glad I did as one person wrote that her calf is 14.25 inches...so I measured mine (being that I was a gymnast since a child I have gymnast legs) I measured @ 14 inches. Needless to say they do fit but barely.....I did try them on after a long day of being at work on my feet so I have some water retention and they went up, very carefully though:) The nice thing about that is they won't slouch. The foot part fits like a glove doesn't hurt my feet at all, I wear a true size 8 and these were just right. I will be walking around in my home before the actual night of Halloween so I'm not getting blisters! So seriously if you're going to purchase these save yourself possible return time and measure your calf:) As for the quality they seem pretty solid, they also look better in person than in the photo.

I was really disappointed with the boots, one because they didn't fit me properly, i chose the right size, which is size 6. But it was most because the width for the calves wasn't right. My calves were a tad to big but only because i work out i.e. running and walking a lot. Therefore I was unable to wear them... not very happy especially since i paid for them from overseas. But the positive factor was that they looked absolutely stunning, loved the look and everything bout them, but not being able to wear was dissapointing.

After reading all the reviews I decided to give these boots a try. As previously stated, they run a bit snug in the calf area. I am 5'4" and weigh 122. My calves measure about 14.25 inches at the widest and they are snug! Not sure if my pirate pants will fit in the boot, but I'm going to wear them daily in hopes that they will stretch. Overall, they are very comfortable and I have a wide foot! I ordered a size 8 which is my normal size and I have plenty of room in the toe!
