I got this outfit for my 5 year old, who is very small (33 pounds, 41 inches). I ordered a size small. From reading the other review here, I was really worried about the headpeice and was hesitant on buying this costume but it was the only costume my daughter wanted to wear out of every costume on this site. The costume came yesterday and she loves it, she hasnt taken it off yet! It does fit. We have no problem with the hat, it fits just fine. However, there are some things to point out - the costume was falling apart and I did have to sew a button back on. Not a big deal, though. The color is entirely different than shown here. It is not a light pink color, but more of a hot pink bright color. Again, not a big deal - but it is different. Overall, it is a great costume but expect some differences and expect to do some minor alterations.

The costume is adorable, but beware, the headpiece is WAY too small in comparison with the body. It does not look like the picture AT ALL. The picture shows the antlers standing up and the whole headpiece raised up high, and it is VERY misleading. We ordered a size small and the body fits my daughter (age 4) perfectly, but the headpiece does not fit AT ALL. My daughter actually has a small head and the headpiece is just ridiculously small. The velcro tabs don't even come close to coming together under her chin. My daughter loves the costume so much, so we're keeping it and I'm just adding a piece of elastic under the chin to hold it together. Very disappointing.
