Nice looking item but it constantly fell apart while trying to walk. The plastic links came apart where it could not be used with the costume unless you tape it together.

Fun product, good price but has a "weakest link" problem -- literally! The links connecting the ball to the chain and at the other end, to the plastic strip that goes around the prisoner's ankle are made with gaps for easy assembly. So, they kept coming apart. The ankle band, a strip of plastic, doesn't stay closed. So, buy this but be prepared to use string to strengthen all the important contact points.

The ball and chain is so poorly assembled that I was attaching it and it came apart. The chain came off the band for your leg. I don''''t recommend this product to any one. richard

My 9-yr-old was a convict for Halloween and when I showed her the ball and chain I ordered she was sooo thrilled. Got alot of compliments on it at school and while trick-or-treating. Did have to put it on her wrist when walking very far. But that was expected. It is so light it swings back and forth on the ankle, wacking in to the other foot.
