A bit itchy to say the least
Yes this is a fun costume, of course. The little one I purchased it for was sooooo excited to wear it. We were using it to take pics and dress up play. It ended up just being pics. It was very itchy to her, and she never complains. You would need to put a long shirt under it. Which would work, and look cute and practicle for Halloween. But just for dress up, for a child to throw it on and play Thumbelina, it's itchy, and they would have to tie it themselves to play independently, so you have to help with it. Overall, she loved having her pics taken in it, but it will sit in the closet, unlike Snow White, or Ariel, or Cinderella etc...
