well i spent my st pattys day at an irish pub. this costume did the trick but i mailed it back today for a refund. the problem is the zipper broke the min i put it on and i had to pin it all night. there was a hole in the back of the skirt and as you can see i am a small breasted person, well the elastic around the breast area come apart within an hour. now noone knew my issues, but for the price i thought the quality was poor. over all i think the costume has a great look to it. as long as you are not looking for years out of this costume and a once or twice wear go for it. as far as the size goes i am a 6 and 36b bust and small was a perfect size. so order true to size. i try to be 100% honest because i order off here quite a bit and read every word of these comments. peace and love from fl

Title: Bavarian but Irish too!

I bought this dress for an Irish murder mystery party - I was a pub waitress. The colors were very vibrant and although a little Bavarian looking, it still did the trick. The material is very comfortable, however the seams in the upper arm became rather snug after a while. I had read in many other reviews to order a size down as it fits large. DON'T! I am a very medium build and bought the medium - the small would've been far too tight. The dress is short ; unless you are planning on a round of the can-can, I'd put on a pair of shorts underneath. The lacing up front made for a nice neat look. My only complaint is the cleaning of the garment. The tag said to wash in the machine on delicate and cold cycle. I did. I did not put it in the dryer but line dried it on a hangar. The middle bodice had deterioated as if a cat had clawed it. It was wearable, but certainly did not look new. If you purchase this dress, you will get fun use out of it, but hand wash it instead of using the machine!
