So, my Godson, who is 3 yrs old, wanted a red fireman costume for Halloween. He wouldn't settle for anything else. I can't tell you how many places we went to trying to find one. I finally found this one online and ordered. It's not what I would consider high quality, but it will last quite a few wearings. It is materials so it does get wet. Especially if you buy the Soaker with it. Which I highly recommend doing! I was going to get the axe and was so glad I reconsidered. I was a little concerned about the hat because it looks so flimsy in the picture, but I actually like it better than the plastic hat. One reason is because it fits so snug. It's tapered so it will fit his head as he grows too. The other reason I really like it is because it is cold in Colorado in Fall and even though it doesn't cover his ears, it's still better than plastic or nothing. The sleeves were a little long, but easily rolled up. There are no buttons, just velcro in the front. I ordered 2T-4T and it will last him at least another year and I'll probably be able to pass it on to someone else's child afterwards.
