Title: good quality, small was too big

I really liked this costume and it got a lot of compliments. I thought it was well made and the materials felt nice and better quality than cheaper costumes. I’m only 5’3” so the dress was a lot longer on me than the model in the picture. I decided to pin one side of the blue skirt up to create a torn look and shorten the skirt a little. I’m 140 lbs. with a petite torso (28” waist, 34B chest). I ordered a small and it was too big for me in the chest and bodice area. At its narrowest spot the small measures 31” around in the waist and 16” across the shoulders. The material does have some stretch and give to it. Ideally, tailoring the costume could have made it fit better but I didn’t want to put more money into it. I used double sided tape to keep the bodice of the dress where I wanted it and a safety pin to gather the extra material in the back. The tan bodice and blue/burgundy skirts are a 1 piece dress that does not have a zipper and goes on over the head. The sash and belt are two separate pieces. The belt is really big and probably won’t have a usable hole for a lot of people. I put the belt on, marked the right spot and used scissors to make a hole in the right spot, after that it fit perfectly. I also ordered the Pirates of the Caribbean Adult Deluxe Pirate Hat with Mustache and Goatee (I only used the hat and cut the fake hair out first).

Title: Fits slightly big

This costume is very nice for somebody who doesn't want something too short. I'm 5"11, 165lb and my measurements are Bust: 35.5, Waist: 29.5 and Hips: 38. I got the Medium as I usually do and it fit slightly big in the bust area. There's no zip or anything, you just throw it on over your head which is probably why it's a little larger than average. The striped scarf unfortunately only has the stripes on one side which is kind of annoying. The belt is very long and didn't have enough holes to make it as tight as I wanted, although you can always make more holes if needed. I do love the sleeves on the dress, they're very elegant. The headscarf is easy to tie properly and very soft and comfortable. Overall this costume is very nice, but I'd say get a size smaller than you usually would.
