Halloween will be an outdoor event in a cool climate. I wanted something to help keep my pirate costume warm but still in character. A female pirate jacket on this site got mixed reviews on sizing, so I thought I give this one a try. It looks like you would expect it to - like I stole a man's coat, which works out okay for a pirate! For my use I'm shortening the sleeves slightly by gathering them up along the inseam and sewing in a pocket on the inside for cell phone & money. Although the tag says dry clean only I was able to wash it (twice) and dry it without any issues. This will get rid of the wrinkles it has straight out of the package. A guy friend used the jacket for a children's event and he looked awesome! It works well as a jacket for a wench or captain.

advertisement said "One size fits all" On prodict arrivlng, stated fits up to size 42. For an adult male costume, that's fairly limiting.

I bought this for my nephew and when I first pulled it out of the bag, yes, I said bag, it was much thinner than I expected and very, very wrinkled. It is not as big as measurements say and did not fit my nephew and we will be sending it back. Overall, I think it would look nice (after you iron it) and has a nice look, but I did expect a nicer jacket. If you are close to the measurements they give, this will not fit you in the shoulders and chest.

This will be a great compliment to an existing costume. The faux weathered look is great and it seems durable enough to last for many halloweens!

bought just the jacket to compliment the pirate outfit I had already purchased. This jacket was the finishing touch.. really set off the entire outfit.. looked awsome.. would recommend it to anyone.
