Title: You get what you pay for

this was the first costume that I ever ordered online and I was very pleased with the results! the coat was a good fit and great quality and I was surprised to find out that it was a completely separate garment from the shirt!! the vest is attached to the sleeves making for a nice shirt. It came down a little low leaving some chestage showing lol but thats ok. They always say order one size bigger than you think you need and that is very correct! I am a slender dude, 32 waist and tall with broad shoulders and I ordered the medium, which fits, but it makes me feel like I need to loose a few pounds or two to wear it (165lbs/ 6'2) I wore it to a 3 hour long event and it held up VERY well! It wasnt too hot or anything , and I was even playing volley ball at one point (without the top coat). It comes with an excellent hat that has a top too it and I ordered an additional hat thinking that this one would be cheap , but I ended up using the hat that comes with the costume instead. Its a little expensive , but totally worth it!!! I was the classiest pirate at the event lol, everyone else was just...dirty :)

Title: Very Nice Costume - Definite Recommend

This is a high quality costume. Bought this outfit as a Highway man costume. Very elegant/ distinguished looking. The vest is brocade and quite nice, satin like sleeves and collar. Solid attention to detail - antique looking buttons and gold braid trim. Something you could definitely wear to a very upscale event. The boot tops are fine (standard fair - you might want to jazz up with another purchase if you're attending something fancy). The earring and eye patch are also nice touches, and I like that you aren't paying for the black pants but can supply your own (which most folks have) that have a better fit. However, I thought the hat was a bit of cop out. It's more of a head piece/ head band with no top. Unless you're extremely tall and no one can see the top of your head, you'll want to buy your own or skip altogether, its not up to snuff with the rest of the outfit. Another nice thing about the costume is the versatility - depending on the accessories (swords, pistols, parrots, lanterns, powdered wigs) you could probably switch it up for a Pirate Cap'n, Highwayman, 1600's type gentleman, or pair with a masque for a fancy costume ball type, etc.
