When I read 1/4 mask in the description, I expect it to be like a cap on the top. This is a mask with a band on the back. Not happy !

Bought this for my bf and we were both very disapointed. The mask looks nothing like the picture, theymake it look much better quality and a complete different colour then it actually is. It doesnt even match the colour of the costume either. It would be worth it if they charged $2.99, but trust me for the quality, its way over priced.

So, I bought the Captain America shield.....and left a not happy review because frankly, my experience on that purchase was poor...........however! to complete the costume I did end up purchasing this mask as well, and it was the exact opposite! the mask arrived in a timely manner, in great condition, and looks terrific. yes ,the photo is a little cropped and your hair shows a bit more than the photo implies. Plus the color doesn't quite match the Captain America costume.....but really? those are minor issues. i'm highly pleased with my purchase and how easy it was to complete this transaction.

This mask looks great, but you must be aware that it is (as the description says) a "1/4" mask. This means that it covers from your eyes up to the crown of your head. There is no back and it does not go down any further. This means that you can clearly see the black elastic that would hold the mask on, and this would obviously ruin the illusion. The fit is mostly fine, but the ridges around the eyes press a little uncomfortably into my eyes. I think it would be possible to trim them a bit to avoid this, but the detail is so great that it would be a shame to lose any of it. My only other complaint is that the blue is a bit too light. Cap wears a royal blue like the flag, not a baby or powder blue. But this color matches the rest of the Captain America items, so it works. My favorite thing about this mask is the fact that the wings look so good. Most of the actual costumes have wings that look more like bunny ears and the other vinyl mask has them totally pressed against the side of the head. This mask has wings that stick out slightly, but not enough to look silly, and look more like the wings in the comics than any other version I've seen so far. In fact, my thought was to buy one of the cloth costumes and wear this mask over the hood (to hide the bunny wings) but the only problem is that darn black elastic string in the back. I guess I'll try the full head mask, but the pics on that one look like it covers the ears, which is not correct and will further degrade my already not-so-great hearing. But if you're not quite the perfectionist that I am, and are okay with a little more frivolity, then you could do far worse than this mask. Especially for the price!
