My whole family dressed up for Halloween as characters from The Cat in the Hat. My 4 year old daughter was Thing 1 and my 2 year old son was Thing 2. Their dad was The Cat in the Hat and I went as the mommy from the movie. The Cat costume comes with everything but the gloves. Although you can get away with using regular gloves, I recommend spending the extra money and getting these. Their dad said that he really liked them and that they were worth the money.
