this wand is good if you want Hermione's wand and can not find it in the stores. It is a good price considering Party City had harry's wand for 9.99. You save three dollars or so from ordering it off buycostumes.com. It is a decent quality perfect for ages 10+ for a costume. i liked it and my brother got to be Harry so it was perfect for Halloween.

The main problem with this wand is that the paint peels off very easily. From the moment it came out of the package the olive/grayish paint that gives this wand character had begun peeling off, which is a bit of a hazard where young children are concerned. We ended up peeling off all the paint so as to avoid paint peelings dropping all over the place. Now the wand is black. Don't understand why they coudn't have just made this out of olive/gray plastic instead of using this cheap paint over black plastic. Hermione would not be impressed.
