Unlike many costumes which are smaller than described, this suit is sized exactly as it says it is: extra large. If anything it may run a little large, which isn't a bad thing in a Santa suit. The materials used are good quality and are well constructed. Those with some sewing skill will probably be able to make adjustments to the costume for a more custom fit. Add a beard and this costume is ready for prime time out of the box. Be aware that the plush nature of this costume means it will be VERY warm. Negatives: the pants have pockets, however the elastic that holds the pants up is barely up to the task of holding up the pants, much less whatever is in the pockets. Also, the belt is excessively long. With the coat stuffed to the gills, the belt still has over a foot of excess 'end' to it, not quite enough to reach the next beltloop. You'll need to find a solution for all the extra belt material.
