I'm a redhead but not with thick curly hair so for this price I wanted to try it under my Swashbuckler Hat #21741. Since opened wigs can't be returned, I chose this one out of many. I figured if it didn't work out, the $19.99 I spent was covered in my savings of other orders. I put the wig cap on, then the wig. It did not look like the model. I had to work with it patiently for awhile using bobby pins and a light squirt of hairspray to get the "bang" curls that were hanging straight down to go upward like the model. I didn't expect I'd have to do that, but then again this is my first time ordering and using a wig. Overall, for the money it is a good value once you play with it to get it to look like it is depicted. This was important to me because I will on occasion be taking the hat off, so the wig had to look good with and without the hat on. You won't be disappointed with this choice.
