this wig is exactly what is to be expected for a $9.99 wig. It's not hugely great quality, However it met my needs perfectly. It does tangle, but since my costume was of a wicked witch,tangled and gnarly is good! Worn alone it shows the fact that it is cheaply made but since my costume include a hat which hides the center part, it's perfect. It is also not a true jet black...more of a deep charcole color with an almost purple cast in some light..but that too was good for a witch. It's exactly what I expected and I'm perfectly pleased with my purchase.

To date, I have never had a problem ordering from buycostumes.com and do use them for all my costume needs. However, this wig really should be passed by. It's the only straight black haired wig without bangs they have so I had to buy it. You really do get what you pay for. It's constantly tangled, little hair in the back and you have to bobby pin hair to the back so you can't see the missing pieces. It really is a cheap item and I'd pass on it if I were you.
