Great until she actually wore it...
This costume came out of the box beautiful. I had read the reviews and was not disappointed at all with what appeared to be a very well made, heavy costume. My daughter wore it to a Halloween party where she was declared the "belle of the ball" because the costume was so pretty. Unfortunately, the velcro on the armbands snagged and pulled at the costume's delicate outer fabric so badly that it was tattered by the end of one fairly sedate night. The hem was tattered, too and the threads kept snagging her feet and almost tripping her up. (It was not too long for her- reached to about 3 inches above the ground.) I also noticed that the seam on the belt piece was starting to come undone at the end of the night. My 5 year old who is very easy to please, as long as the costume is pretty, said, "Mom, this costume is NOT well made. It's junk!" This was a bit of a splurge for a 5 year old's Halloween costume, but I thought it was well worth it IF the quality was there compared to the local chain stores' costumes. I'll be contacting buycostumes.com about a refund.
