I was pleasantly suprised at the quality of the jacket with this costume. It is really thick and the colors are vivid. The hat and breeches were decent as well. The one part I was disappointed with was the vest. It is a half vest (no back) and it is really awkward to keep on and in position. With a little creative work on the tie backs and vest itself, it should be OK.

The Colonial Adult Costume was not as advertised. It is very cheaply made in terms of the quality. The size is half the size it should be. Also, when I saw the color photo of the costume it looked like dark blue to me. It turns out to be a forest green instead. The coat itself is made from a very inexpensive cotton like material and comes badly wrinkled, nothing like the photograph. I am very disappointed and will have second and third thoughts about ordering ever again.

This costume really looked good in the picture but I was very disappointed when I received it and it was running a bit small and the quality left a lot to be desired. The hat was ridiculously big and resembled a over sized cowboy hat not a colonial soldier. I would not buy this costume for the money I paid besides it was cheaper in another site but since it was a "blowout" this company would not refund the difference as they say so be careful and shop around.

Very nice costume in all respects EXCEPT the hat. The most useless piece of garbage ever! But a separate tricorne hat, jobot and cuffs and some footwear and you're set. This costume was a big hit at the party I wore it to. The pants are a bit short, but comfortable and I had no trouble with rips as was previously mentioned in another review. Very well put together.
