  • Shoe Buckles

They didn't even make it for my son's performance. He had them on for about 1/2 before showtime and within 15 minutes of normal walking around, they came apart, literally. Very poor quality.

  • great when it mattered....

These look fabulous on stage. My daughter got dressed for her play at home and wore them to the auditorium and one of the buckles slipped off of her shoe twice. She wore them over black flats size 3. Again, they were perfect on stage, but walking outside in them they slid off. Easy fix.... put them on when you're ready to go on stage or wear bigger shoes! These are higher quality than I expected! I would recommend them.

  • Awesome accessory

My son did a presentation in class involving the Revolutionary War time period and the buckles on his brown athletic shoes really finished it off perfectly! If you get the child colonial costume, I'd highly recommend getting the buckles. Very good quality - will last a very long time!

  • Nice finishing touch to great costume

We bought this for our son who was presenting during a History Fair and had to wear the costume all day. The buckles are a little high in price, but make up for it by being very high in quality. Although the description does not say it, the buckle part (gold or silver - depending on what you order) is made of heavy metal so they look authentic. The entire outfit was purchased via buycstumes.com. The other pieces include: Ben Franklin Child Costume - Product ID: #17461, Ben Franklin Heroes In History Kit (wig) - Product ID: #10162 and Colonial Men's Socks - Product ID: #1545. Although the wig kit includes glasses, my son is wearing his own which fit the style although they did not have metal frames. The guest speaker was Mark Collins who played George Washington on History Channel's "The Revolution" (he was excellent in the show and as a speaker!). The picture shows the two old friends together 222 years after the Constitutional Convention!
