the wings arrived in good shape and looked beautiful on. my only complaint really is that it would be nice if the straps were adjustable (like bra straps) . the straps were too large for my daughter so they would slip off her shoulders alot. had i realized this ahead of time i would have tried to do something to fix it - but it would be nice if they came with a built-in adjustment mechanism.

Beautiful and very well made.

Love the wings. They are very well made with the 'frame' of the wings made from like a thick wire hanger and the 'wing' itself is like an opaque pair of tights. Much better quality than I expected and my 4-year old LOVES them!! The only downside is for the parent - plan on holding them for the evening (if used for a Halloween costume). They are on the heavy and wide side so every time my daughter went through a doorway she would hit the frame - but the wings survived, unscathed. Also, we went trick or treating in a group, so as the kids crowded a porch or doorway, the wings would be in the way. An older child or even an adult would not have this problem. In fact, after 3-4 houses, I put them on so I didn't have to carry them and they didn't look too small on me (I'm 5' 4", 125 pounds).

Adorable but not functional

These wings are fabulous, but will they stay on my daughter comfortably for more than an hour? Probably not. They are way to heavy for a child (my daughter is 6) to balance on their back. The amount of elastic "arm holes" are not adequate/thick enough to support the amount of wire in these wings. I love how pretty these are, as does my daughter, but she will probably wear these for pictures and then put them in her school locker for the remainder of the day.
