I spent quite a bit of time looking for boots to wear with a renaissance outfit. All of the authentic leather boots I looked at were well above my budget for the costume and all of the boot toppers looked too fake, until I found these. They aren't as nice as the real boots and aren't as realistic, but for the price they are amazing! They fit well and looked great! I wore a pair of lace dress shoes and the boot tops covered the laces just fine (I wear men's size 12) The elastic on the bottom doesn't stretch very far so I recommend putting the boot cover on your shoe and then putting them on, it will keep the elastic from breaking off the cover (Speaking from experience :p ) The covers are quite durable and can be easily worn more than once. If possible try to get these several days in advance so you can let them air out. Mine smelled VERY strongly of lacquer. Overall these covers are a great addition to any costume wardrobe especially for the price. They look great and can be used for several different costumes. I highly recommend them!
