I wanted something fun, a bit sexy, easy to move/dance in, and not a high maintenance costume that needed tending to all evening. What terrific choice! The fabric is very nice, spandex but not see-through, good quality. The skirt is lined so no need to other garments. And it's just long enough to make it flirty but not so short that you're afraid to move. It fits snug and you may want to get the next size up if you're borderline on a size. Delivery was faster than promised and other than ironing a bit, it's all ready to go!

When determining what size to order, make sure to use the size chart, not the number sizes. The 1X plus size says it is for a size 18-20, however I wear a 12 and it fits just right; not too big or too small. So make sure to measure yourself and go by the size chart. Other than that, the costume is well made for the price, and looks great. I am 5'4 and the dress touches just above the knee, so it is not too short. Can't wait to wear it on Halloween!

I purchased this to wear in some "fun" pictures. I am a plus size woman so it's very hard to find really cute outfits like this. So I was pleased when I saw this in my size. I ordered a size larger like suggested...good adivce as this is a slip on dress. However, if you are looking for something corset like around the mid area this is not it. Like stated it is a lycra dress...so its not super tight around the mid area. The front criss cross white part and apron add a really great accent. This outfit is super cute, definitely makes one feel sexy. I would absolutely recommend this outfit.

I recently bought this French Maid Costume in 1X as I wear a 16-18 and I love it. It is my anniversary tonight, and I also bought a wig to wear with it, for a role play adventure. Both my items were in good condition and I received them very quickly. Thank you Buycostumes.com

Excellent costume! Arrived very quickly & fit marvelously - squeezed at all the right places. My husband loved it! Said I could be right out of the pages of a naughty magazine! Only challenge was attaching the head piece, I had to use my own clips, but it looked good. Next time I'll get the feather duster!
