I got so many compliments on these scissorhands gloves. I did have to make some improvements- the gloves that came with them were too big (probably made for men's hands) and of a very poor quality, so i took the scissors off and glued them onto smaller gloves. Everyone said they looked very real, and they helped me win a few costume contests! I would definitely recommend these over the ones that come with the costume.

The gloves are the best part of an Edward Scissorhands costume. Well they should be anyways.. As soon as I took the gloves out of the package, one of the blades fell off. I tried glueing it back on which didn't work and ended up taping it back on with ducktape. I wore the gloves for a total of 4 hours. I was not careless with them since I could tell they were horrible quality from the beginning. By the end of the night, all but one of the blades had fallen off of the gloves. I loved my costume and had many compliments about it, but I wish the gloves were better quality.

was pretty disappointed with this product - it arrived broken, very poorly made. $43 seemed kind of ridiculous when I saw them in real life. they were pretty life like looking though. and kudos to buycostumes.com for handling my complaint about it so professionally and easily. I really appreciated it.

Was excited because my scissor hands came UPS today. When I opened the box, the product was stuffed in a box that was way to small for the item. Opened the package and of course a part was broken. Item also was not like picture posted. Very unhappy. Definitely not for a females hand. Glove part very flimsy for the weight of the scissors. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning the item.
I think these scissorhands look a lot better than the ones that come with your Edward Scissorhand's costume. Keep in mind they're very long. The gloves fit me perfectly, but I don't think they would fit a man with large hands. The loops around the fingers are a bit large for me though and the scissors end up flopping around because of that. One of the thumbs are accidentally glued too to the scissor. I'm going to have to adjust that one since it's impossible to get my thumb through. Even thought the scissorhands are a bit pricey, I think it's worth it.
