I was a little worried about the fit with this dress, and the buttons etc falling off after reading other reviews. But was surprised as the dress stayed in contact. nothing broke or fell off even after being thrown in the pool. I also thought the sizing ran on the small side so i went up a size which i didn't need to do i ended up having to run the dress in to fit me. The measure guide is true to measure for the fit of this dress. Very pleased with the purchase.

Everyone loved the Greek Empress Look!

I am petite, 5"1 and I orderd the small, it was a little long without the heels but once I put the heels on it was fine, didn't need to get it hemmed in, thankfully, otherwise a tailor near me wanted to charge me $12. Everyone loved the costume, it was a nice fit and I am a size 6, definitley not clingy but definitely curve revealing. The "brooch" on top as the other reviewers suggested, fell off before I wore the costume! My mom sewed it up for me and attached the red accessory piece and voila! it didn't fall off the entire night I wore it. I paired with gold heels and a gold bag and it looked very cute. I felt comfortable the entire night with this costume and the crown didn't fall off much, stayed in place basically the entire night. The only thing I wouldn't suggest purchasing is the arm band, sold seperately, in the picture it appears red and I was told by the representative on-line that it was suited to match the dress, Wrong! When I got it at home, the stone's color was blue. Nonetheless I didn't wear it and it's going back. Overall everyone loved the costume and Greek Empress look! - Marly from Valley Stream, NY

Nice fabric, but bad craftsmanship

I ordered this costume for a cosplay event, but was really disappointed. The fabric is really nicer than I expected and has a nice flowy-ness about it, but the craftsmanship is horrible. The cape is attached wrong, so it doesn't lay flat like in the picture and the gold shoulder patch with the red jewel already fell off before I even took it out of the bag. It's a good deal for the price, but expect to do a little mending and fixing on this one.

A great dress for Helen of Troy--if you are blonde! As a previous rater said, the dress fits nice, but the shoulder jewel fell off during the first use! Other than that, a great buy!
