Evil Queen Adult Costume
In short: I loved this costume & it was dead easy to take in with the sewing machine.
I ordered this consume wondering if it would be too big or not. I am a size 10-12 Australian size. Probably closer to a size 12.
Although the costume does tie up at the front & back to allow for it to be made tighter/looser, when you tighten it too much, it kind of gathers up at the bust area. That kind of makes the front look a little funny just across the top of the clevage area.
It was really easy to take the costume in half an inch on each side.
The costume comes in 2 sizes:
A. 1 size fits all
B. Super size
Be careful to check which one you are buying.
If you are a 12-14 I would recommend just getting the smaller 'One size' version as it would fit you perfectly without any need for alteration (Especially if you have boobs which I don't).
But if you are a 10-12 (with smallish bust), you will need to alter the One size by simply running the costume in down each side, to reduce the size slightly.
If you require additional tightness the costume is made with a seam running straight down the back too. Which is great for you to be able to easily run the in a little there too if required.
This costume was fantastic. I had a lot of compliments & fun wearing it. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It was very easy to take in a bit. Anyone with a sewing machine could do it in under 10 minutes.
I also hand sewn some balloon padding underneath each hip pocket to add some extra puff. You could use wadding or newspaper, or anything you wanted. I just cut 2 strips from the balloon padding (Packaging) that the costume came in.
I also added a little wire to the collar to hold it upright.
The costume has long sleeves & is lined so it is warm to wear on a cold night & It was very comfortable.
Highly recommended!
This is the 3rd costume I have purchased from this store & am impressed with the quality for price.
