I bought these for a dance recital prop and one broke the first time the girls used it to practice. Another one broke after one performance.

As a lace fan, you can imagine it shouldn't be used to fan yourself for cool air - this is merely for a decoration or costume prop. It also does not stay open, you have to use your hand to spread the fan apart and keep it open. As I said, its a nice prop, but shouldn't be bought for actual use.
