Straight from a page of French history, circa late 18th century; this handsome gentleman's wig offers proud and stately, long curls to clearly distinguish one's nobility.

Well it came SQUASHED with very few curls intact, combed it out for 2 hours and now it looks decent. It is the best option for making my husband's Ghostly Gent costume into a French Aristocrat so we're going with it.

I like the Aristocrat wig very much, it will work great for the work that I do as an artist model, my only regret is that I didn`t buy the white one too.

My boyfriend and I went to my best friends Halloween Masquerade Wedding this year as Marie Antoinette and King Louis. My boyfriend has a larger head than average and the wig we bought before this one was way too tight (and cost us $60). I was worried we wouldn't be able to find him a wig that would fit and decided I would have to buy another wig so we could cut up both of them and make something to fit his head. I found this wig and thought it would be the closest thing to the one we already had and was happy to find it was WAY CHEAPER. It came in the mail and my boyfriend tried it on just for good measure and we were jumping for joy when it fit like a glove and even had a little room to spare! The wig saved us a lot of work and looked fantastic on him. I would definitely recommend this wig especially if you are a dude with a slightly larger head than most.

This wig would be more for parties, fun dress-up occasions, or school plays than for historical re-enactments, as someone else mentioned. It's a little more silvery than white and since it's synthetic hair, it's more for giving the impression of a powdered wig than looking exactly like the actual old wigs. The price is right, though, and it's a fun wig--my 10-year-old son the history buff loved it the moment he set eyes on it, and has been wearing it all weekend (we received it on Friday)! It's VERY durable--my son's worn it out in the rain, running around the house playing 'musketeer', and for eating meals, and it hasn't shed a hair or stretched out a bit. Usually, anything he touches disintegrates within hours! I was very happy to find something he could wear and enjoy that would stand up to his make-believe sword fights, battlefield activities, and meeting other noblemen in the queen's palace!

NOT for use in a real restoration play, but ideal for a comedy or spoof. Pay the extra few bucks if doing a "serious" comedy of the Baroque period. But for the price, this one looks nice on the stage and serves the purpose well. Needs some fluffing on arrival but for a high school production or a Halloween costume, I don't think you can beat the price.
