This costume was very nice on. My husband did have trouble sitting in it, but if your not planning on sitting very much it would be great. Also be careful with sizing, my husband is short and the skirt part fit him perfectly so for a much taller man you might have to pull it down to your hips. All in All it is a good costume and makes an amazing impact!

So much fun in Salem!

My husband and I went to Salem for Halloween this year and he selected this costume. It was his first costume ever as he is not that big into Halloween. We had at LEAST 40 people stop us so they could take his picture. He had so much fun being the center of attention and liked that he could see people's reactions without them seeing his face (because of the mask). If this costume was a hit in Salem I am sure it would be great anywhere. He is 6'7" and everything fit great!

I bought this costume on sale for $49. It was damaged when I got it (2 inch cut in the chest armor) but a quick call to customer service fixed that. I also ordered the gold roman sword which was a perfect compliment. It slid right on the waist armor belt and was light enough not to weigh down the costume at all. It is not the most durable costume so do not run into any walls or people while partying, but as for looks it is just as pictured. I am 5'9" 180lbs with a stocky soccer player frame and with a little adjustment here and there it fits well. The shin guards went just below the knee, which is a little high but not so much that it interfered with walking. The head piece and chest/shoulder armor fit well after moving around some of the velcro dots and strips to make it centered. Remember this is a one size fits most (with some minor adjustments due to your size). The cape and shirt are thin but both together are enough, or just wear a long black shirt if you prefer. The chest armor covers the front so you don't feel naked. The skirt is not the thickest but you are not going to go "Gladiator Style" anyways so some black boxer briefs or compression shorts will do the job. As for the bungie strings on the forearm and shins I put a little strip (about 1/2" long, 1/4" wide) of clear packing tape on both sides of the armor to strengthen them up so that the cords would not cut through them if I got hung up on something. They are somewhat thin so take care if you are clumsy. All in all I got what I paid for and I long as I take care of it it should last me for as long as I want it. It also should not go out of style since Rome fell a long time ago and we are still making movies about it and wearing the same clothes to look like them back then. Buy it if you can.

I bought this costume for my husband and he was not too sure what to think of it when we first took it out of the box. The quality was a little cheaper than we had expected but it still looks great on. And we were a little worried about how it would fit considering that it is one size fits all and my husband is a pretty big guy. But it fits almost perfect. Overall, this costume was worth buying.

I bought this costume for my husband who is 6"2 198lbs, and it needs some work to make it look good. The "armor" is cheap thin plastic, the shoulder armor only covers the front of his shoulders (doesn't sit on the shoulders), the chest armor needs a bottom strap because it flares out. It does fit him well for his height and weight, but I was disappointed that the costume looks complete dead on, but from behind it doesn't look great. I'll be gluing on thick velcro straps in place of all the elastic band straps and adding an additional strap onto the chest piece to stop it from flaring out. And I'll be making him a new cape, because this one looked ridiculous it was too short and too thin. If you don't want to have to do alot of fixing on this costume, don't get it.
