great mermaid costume

i wanted this costume ever since last year but didn't purchase it until this year. so FINALLY, when i recieved this costume i was so happy it looked very well made especially the bottom part with the ruffleing things was great. the costume is shiny and elegant. would use it again when i get the chance. the price is expensive in my opinion. i gotta say i loved the costume great for water themed parties and so on... great costume!

i recieved it right away and the quality of the costume was good. had time to try it on and make nessesary adjust in short with this late purchase my girlfriend looked FINE!!

Glitter Mermaid Costume Review

This costume did not dissappoint! When I bought it i was afraid I wouldn't be able to walk, or that it wouldn't fit right. I'm 5'7, average build, bought a medium, and for the most part, it fit very well. I did have to make alterations to the top part because it was quite revealing and if you moved the wrong way the material would not have stayed covering what it was supposed to cover. I added a ribbon backstrap and sewed ribbon down the side of the bra-like section, and it worked wonderfully! The only other issue was the amount of material at the bottom. The long layers made it nearly impossible to walk without stepping all over the costume, however, simply cutting off some of the material fixed that problem and the costume still looked great. Overall this costume was amazing, as long as you spend a bit of effort fixing it up to suit your body. For effect I suggest adding a flower or seashell to your hair, a seashell necklace, and hair glitter. You can also use the material you cut off the bottom for a sash if desired! Also, it makes a perfect couple costume if you pair it with a pirate! Happy Halloween! :)

pretty but doesn't cover the essentials well

costume was beautiful but had nothing to secure the top to your chest other than a tie around the neck. thus leaving the sides completely open as well as everytime you lift your arm the top lifts off your breasts. had to alter it with straps across back and around my neck to keep top in place.

This costume is so beautiful. It's long, but if you pull up the skirt part to your thighs, you can walk and it still looks cute. I wore a turquoise colored tube bra to go over my bra, since its backless and the top part runs bigger. I wore it as a tube top though because I thought it looked better that way, and it was actually more comfortable and gives you more cleavage.
