One of the skulls was broken off the top of the plate when I opened the package. (This could be because it's packaged in an unsealed plastic bag.) I did like the other reviewers, and glued the top to the base when I glued the skull back on. It's supposed to be a "spinning" cake plate, but it's just too wobbly. Five minutes, and a little super glue, and it's great.

I love this platter. It is plastic but loooks great on the table. It certainly adds to the feel of the party. I would recommend it. I did glue the base on with a hot glue gun just in case it came apart.I served a cheese cake on it with a huge ebible spider on it.

It looks just like it does in the photos. However, you must keep in mind that this IS just plastic. It worked wonderfully with one exception: the words "tray can also be turned" should be translated as "top likes to fall off base". The pedestal base fits into a socket on the bottom of the platform, but isn't very sturdy. However, a bit of hot glue or superglue fixes the problem perfectly.
