After reading the reviews I ordered the largest size for my 9 and 12 year old and they can get away with wearing it. The jacket in 2 sizes smaller than it says and the pants are perhaps 1 size bigger. So the pants are a little baggy but I would rather that then not being able to wear them at all. I have to admit it looks great on.

My god daughter was ecstatic to find a Cool Sandy costume, the only problems were the shirt was very snug for a large sized shirt and the jacket needed some extra velcro to keep it in place. Other than those problems we enjoyed the costume :)

Not a great fit

As others have mentioned, the fit isn't great. My daughter is a small 5-year-old, but the pants were HUGE on her. They don't fit anything like they look in the picture. They look more like parachute pants on her. That being said, my daughter is a big Grease fan and she loves the costume because of the jacket that says "Grease". I ended up buying shiny black leggings at a different store that fit her better. She can still wear the shirt and jacket that came with the costume. The shirt fits her, but it is form-fitting. Not sure how it would fit an average, or above-average size 5-year-old.

would never buy again

I bought this costume in a size Youth 14-6 for my daughter. When it arrived I was literally shocked. The pants were so long that it would be perfect if you were at least 6 feet tall. The shirt on the other hand, wasn't even big enough to fit my 6 year old that wears a 6X. The jacket was just big enough to fit my 10 year old that wears a 8-10. I don't know if this is the norm for this outfit, if it was a return or if someone just threw it together. As soon as it came I called the company and they reshipped another. I am still waiting for it to arrive.
