Title: Not great quality and way too big!

This costume was bought for my friend who wears about a size 8-10 and it was much too big. The dress appeared shapeless on her. The quality of the main green part of the dress was ok, but the white shirt part was very thin and also barely extended under the green part meaning that it could easily pop out, revealing that the the blouse is not real.

Title: Good High-Quality Costume

I was so ecstatic to see official Hairspray costumes for sale on BuyCostumes.com! I immediately ordered the Penny costume. It's better quality than most Halloween costumes usually are (the material feels like it's an actual dress and not cheap costume-like material). My only problem was that the product description says it fits up to a size 14. I fall between a 12 and a 14, and this dress ended up being a little on the tight side in the bust area. As a result, the velcro closings around there would sometimes come apart. I recommend sewing some string or ribbon onto that area to tie and make sure the dress stays shut there. Otherwise, perfect costume if you want to dress up as Penny Pingleton!
