To put it simply - the hat is a flimsy piece of rubbish. Nothing like in the picture. It's way too small to fit an adult's head and is floppy and useless. Threw it out. Had to buy my own...there's another $40 on top. The socks are some weird material that is cheap and useless. They're see through and much like stockings. Had to buy my own - there's another $10 on top. The shirt is good. Fits well and looks nice. The brown overalls part is good too - a nice design. But the straps barely tighten so they're very loose on me. I need to use a butterfly clip to keep them in place. For the $100+ price tag, this outfit certainly isn't worth the money. A $50 price tag would be a lot more appropriate.

The costume came in time, as promised. The socks were a little too short and the hat was a little tight but, otherwise, the costume was a good fit. The price was a little high and the quality was moderate. We were in a pinch and it got the job done.

The included accessories were the cheapest part of the costume. The hat was totally flimsy with no way to shape it and the socks came just below my calf, not even close to knee socks. The white shirt was completely see-through and the lederhosen were boxy. I didn't find it difficult to use the restroom like other reviewers complained about, but I did have to wear a stretchy pouch-belt under my lederhosen since there weren't any pockets. I honestly found nothing elite about the costume, but makes me glad I didn't go the super cheap route. Hate to see how cheap the $50 version is.

Good, not great - but satisfied

I purchased this costume based in large part on the positive reviews here. The shirt and lederhosen are of excellent design and they really look the part, but the socks are a bit thin (you can see through them) and the hat is total garbage (I spent an extra $20 on another hat & feathers). I machine washed the shirt & socks as instructed before use and they came out fine (and the shirt less wrinkled). The lederhosen say 'dry clean only', but I haven't done that yet. I ordered one size larger (large instead of medium) and felt it was too big, but it did allow me to wear shorts (with pockets; the lederhosen have none) and a t-shirt underneath. Still, I felt I would've been better suited with a more accurate size. Despite the hat, socks, and size, I was able to make it work and I'm satisfied - the shirt & lederhosen were that good, in my opinion.
