The hat itself is great - mouth that looks real when manipulated like a puppet, stands up by itself easily, looks great - but the size is oddly small. There is a sizing tab in the back, but I had to leave it all the way open to get it onto my head. Would fit smaller-headed people much easier.

Amazing Hat!!

This hat was fantastic. We had a Harry Potter Party and everyone got their picture taken wearing this hat. It is high quality and there is room for a digital recorder if you want to record a sorting hat song. It was like a piece of the movie. My husband is also using it as part of his Halloween attire this year.

Sorting Hat

This hat is soooo cute! I was afraid it would have a very fake looking face on it, but it doesn't. You only see a face with a little imagination -- the sewn parts and folds create the suggestion of a face. The material is like microfiber and lighter brown than I expected, but of good quality. The only concern I have is the brim: the wire inside does not seem very sturdy and I am afraid that too much bending will cause it to break. I am using this hat as part of a Professor Pomona Sprout costume: adding a brown jumper and cape, grey curly wig ... and a potted mandrake!
