The wand was very small and truly meant for small children. Not good for anyone over five years old. Not that impressive!

Title: A Bit Small but Really Fun Party Favor!

I purchased these as a party favor for my son's Harry Potter party. When the kid's first got them -- when we started Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone -- they seemed a bit disappointed in the size and rather cheap appearance of the wand. It is definitely far smaller than the wands used in the movie and really don't resemble them in the slightest. However, when the lights were off and they were getting into the movie, they had a blast lighting them up as they "cast" their spells. It continues to be a hit at our house and, according to my son's friends, at their houses as well. So, despite the "design flaws," it makes a really fun and very inexpensive party favor or Halloween accessory.
