I originally ordered a medium based on the size guideline and it came in looking like it was for a toy not a medium size dog. I ordered it for a small sized Beagle. I was not able to use it for Halloween due to the timing and had to return it. I reordered it in a large to have for next year and the large fits her perfectly. She does not like the elastic straps for the back legs and the shirt fits in such a way that I don't think she will need them and I will likely cut them off. She doesn't usually like anything on her with sleeves and I really didn't think I would get away with it when I put it on her but she was fine with it and the lei. She didn't try to shake it off or chew on it. I think this will be a great costume for next Halloween and we now have a year to plan our Halloween theme around her Hawaiian costume! This was the only site I found this costume as well so I'm glad I ordered it.

This is a great costume for your dog...fits great and he loves wearing it. Watch out for sizing though...I have a small 9lb terrier and the size small didn't fit (too small) so I had to return it to get the medium. Otherwise, great purchase! : )
