I am a huge fan of Halloween and always dress up, but this costume is by far my all-time favorite. The quality is great, the skirt is actually long enough to cover my butt (which, as I'm sure y'all know, is a rare thing with purchased costumes). I'm 5' 10" and just about 180lbs, so I got the extra large. Perfect fit. The details are perfect. The jacket was a bit tight, so it took me a little more effort than usual to get it on/off, but really you're never taking the jacket off anyway, and it's not so tight that it obstructs your movement (you can still dance ladies!) The hat is good quality too, and it isn't too hot, or itchy, or anything like that. The only "negative" thing I have to say (if you can call it negative) is that the cups on the top didn't really work on me. The underwire hit a bit too high on my boobs (D cup) Again, though, this issue is not something that caused anything more than a minor annoyance. I very highly recommend this costume and honestly, I'll probably reprise this costume again another Halloween!

Bummed out

I was really looking forward to getting this costume, but I was so bummed out when I tried it on. It fits - technically. What I mean is that I can get everything zipped. However, the jacket is way too narrow in the shoulders and the corset is a joke! The front of the corset is very pretty, but the back is cheap spandex with a very itchy/irritating top edge. There is some boning in the front, but nothing like a real corset or even shapewear! There are also no bra cups! They are nearly flat with underwire. On top of that, there are two strange decorations that arch from the front to the back of the "corset" which will give you very strange hip lumps because they don't stretch with the spandex. Then there's the skirt - waaayyyy too short. I'm 5' 10" and there's just no way. Even at the ridiculously low price of $35 I feel like I've wasted my money and energy being excited about this costume. My last chance is to try some alterations and hope to make it work. On the plus side, if you are in to huge, oversized, Kentucky Derby - epic hats, then you are in luck with this one.

Fun and quality made! Careful with full busts..

I really like this costume, fits true to sizing, maybe a tad big, but with room I guess :) I think it's made well, good sturdy fabrics and classy! The only thing is the placement of the cups on top. If you are larger or medium busted, they don't really land where your bust does. Even on this photo you can see that this thin and "perky" models bust....it doesn't fit just perfect. I don't have a droopy chest by any means, but it doesn't quite line up, and when I pull the top down, it doesn't want to stay in place and covers much of the red ribbon on the waste of the skirt. But really, it's not devastating to the costume...it looks great! Can't wait to wear it! The gold ruffles on the sleeves are much fuller and puffier than they look here, but better too much than too little, I just secured the front of gold ruffle in the sleeve and it looked fine.

The top and skirt I think are of good quality. The jacket and hat are pretty good quality as well, just different material types. I really like how the costume fits and how it's different than all the other pirate outfits. It includes a lot - a hat and jacket. The skirt pearls are a nice touch. I am usually a size 4 (34B chest) in most clothes and the Small fit me perfectly. I think if you are smaller than a size 4 though the costume will be too big. It doesn't run small like a lot of costumes do. I will update the review with a photo after attending the halloween party.

Sexy Costume

I have a couple of halloween parties to go to, so i decided to get another costume. I feel in love with this one because in the picture it looks like good quality like the last costume i ordered. I ordered the size Small. The top is really nice it actually looks better than the picture shows. Very bright and stands out. Im 26 years old 5'4 118 pounds and am a 34 C cup bra size. The only complaint i have about the top is i couldnt get the zipper to zip up all the way and stay. So i took a safety pin and pinned the top part where you zip it up. And it worked like a charm. The skirt is my favorite it fit perfect without any problems. And its also nicer looking than it is in the picture. The jacket is adorable. The one thing i noticed was in the picture the gold arm lace is not as full as it is actually is when you get it. Truthfully i didnt like how bushy and full it was so i cutt it off. Looks much better now. Jacket fit good. The hat is kinda awkward. I personally didn't like it at all and knew i wouldn't from the picture so i ordered the new 2009 black lace pirate hate, which is absolutly beautiful by the way. Overall this was a very nice costume and im glad i ordered it. nice quality, gorgeous.
