This costume did not work at all for us- it is a big costume and would only work on someone above average height- 6ft or so. The quality is poor- made out of thin felt. It does not sit flat like the picture, but bunches up under the belt. This looks too ridiculous to be worn, unfortunately.

If you are looking for something for an outdoor theatre that requires a character in this sort of outfit, then this is for you. If you are doing anything inside or close to people, and you need to look semi-genuine, then try somewhere else. I got this to go with a skit that the camp I work at puts on, which requires a character that looks like he's going to a masquerade. While it did the job - everyone came and commented on how it looked - it left much to be desired. The fabric is felt on the outside and (I'm guessing) cotton on the inside, so while it's comfortable, it gets hot in a hurry while leaving no air to circulate. The vambraces barely made it around my forearm (which isn't that thick), and while at a distance it looks like it could be leather, up close houses no delusion. And the slit that goes from the neck to the midchest? If you're hoping to have it tied as close as the model does, you'll want to get a needle and some thread. Finally, if you are planning on wearing this as anything more than a Halloween costume, get some real boots and trim off the boot covers. For a one night stand, they are livable; for a skit for third- to sixth-graders, even the kids say it's cheesy.

My hubby hates costumes, so when we were having a Medieval family get together, you can imagine what he was thinking. He wasn't impressed. So I picked one that was nice and kept with the theme but not over the top. He actually liked it!

The boots work well, fabric is good, however the leather collar that you lace up doesn't lay down properly. If it could have been sewed onto the red background it would have layed down fine. The size was great and everybody liked the costume. I would definitely buy it again, so go for it.
