When you pay $40.00+ for a costume (for a toddler), you would think the quality of the product would be better. I had to cut off frayed edges all over the costume. She look very cute as a pirate and she loved the tutu part of the costume. My only complaint is the price and the quality.

There are some very mixed reviews on this costume. The costume in the picture is not doctored. When the costume comes, the tulle used in the skirt needs to be separated and fluffed up. After you do this it is just as full as the picture. The head scarf seems shorter than the one in the first picture. But that girl is tiny. If you look at the other pictures (of the probably 2 1/2year old) you see what I mean. The "velvet" is not coming off and missing in patches. It is designed that way to look old and "piratey." I will attach a close up so you see what I mean. Overall the costume is adorable, though $40 is a bit steep for the quality. However I am not disappointed with the purchase. It is a very sweet pirate princess costume. I did add a different head scarf to make my daughter look more like a pirate than a princess.

I got this for my 19 month old daughter...she looks quite fetching in it I must say! She is adorable in it. I really like it and it looks great in pictures. I can't wait to get all decked out and get her "booty"....so sweet. We all just love it.

When I saw this costume last year and was unable to purchase it since they sold out so quickly, I knew I had to have it for my lil one this year. I received the package yesterday and was very upset, for the costume was nothing like what is shown on the website. The picture on the site looks like they "doctored" the costume up to look nicer-the skirt is fluffy and much fuller than what you actually get. Also, the whole costume is poorly made and the seams are already coming undone. And the small velvet portion of the skirt is blotchy (there are portions all over it that are missing the velvet). To say the very least, it was a waste of my money and now I will be returning it and will not ever purchase from this site again. I read other reviews that stated to have been content with what they'd received, but I guess I got a "bad egg." Anyhow, if I would've seen this costume beforehand I wouldn't have paid $10 for it! I would've submitted a pic of it, but I've already packed it back up in it's box to return.

When i fist pulled this costume out of the box I was skeptical. I thought the tutu didn't look very full. Before trying it on my little girl I decided to make an extra tutu to wear along with it to make it look fuller but when I tried the costume on her it looked very cute. Much cuter than I anticipated. I won't be using the extra tutu that I made. It was just flat from shipping and needed fluffed. It also fit perfect.
