Title: Good First Costume

This outfit is a good first costume for kids as it's not complicated and is very easy to wear. My son wore it to school without a problem-no dangling capes, hot fabrics or accessories needed. Even when he no longer wanted to wear the headpiece, he still looked cute. As it turned out, the top portion was a little warm for Florida weather, but he made it through.

Title: Cut it apart

The hat is totally awesome, except we needed to put elastic band on it. Funny and warm in fleece. Hilarious. Totally worth the cost of the costume I am no sew-er so I was pretty bummed by the suit being a one piece. There were big velcro squares (kind of sharp) that my toddler HATED. But because my other kids were Kirk and O'Houra (sp?), it looked like baby was going to have to suffer. Instead, I cut the shirt from the pants (carefully) which was great, because as it was polar fleece it didn't get all frayed or weird on the bottom. Then I went and bought her $4 tight toddler black pants from Target. So now she has a Spock sweatshirt and a hat she likes to wear around the house. The big kid trek suits were awesome looking and have been washed even though it says not to. Although, had to get my son black pants (girl workout ones--they were tighter) and he was a perfect Kirk. All in all, one of our better Halloween themes and cards. Plus they wear them when we watch the dvd. :-)
