This costume was real hit at our neighborhood Halloween party this year. But, I had to spice it up a bit to make it better. From looking at the picture before ordering I assumed the plate was more solid/shaped and somehow held itself up. To my surprise it does not. The plate is very soft and flimsy. And you can't stuff it in anyway to thicken it up in order to hold it upright. So, unless you keep you hand(s) on it at all times it just flops over and hangs down off the apron - this looks really strange and kills the whole point of the costume. Personally I knew I'd have beer in one hand and pizza or a smoke in the other - no way I wanted to have to hold the plate up all night. I ended up making a plate shape out of cardboard, popping a seam in the plate material and inserting my cardboard to fill the shape and make it more solid and then a quick hand stitch back together. Then I added a reinforced cardboard piece pointing downward to act as a brace to keep the plate upright and level. Now, no hands! I'm a taller and bigger guy at 6' 3" and 275lbs so the plate didn't really fit as close to my waist as I would of liked. It was more on my gut. Which again, sort of kills the joke. Would of been cool if the neck strap at the top of the apron was longer and/or adjustable. All and all though it was great and I'd recommend it for funny costume!

I was throwing my husband an Italian themed murder mystery dinner party for his 40th birthday. I found this costume on line, and it was the hit of the party!! Very reasonably priced, great quality, and delivery when it was expected.

This costume was so much fun. So easy to wear. My friends just kept laughing and wanting to touch me all the time. Don't suggest that you wear it ariund children, but around adults you will have such a great time.

The costume was great. I just wish the plate would have stayed upright on it's own. I ended up sewing a t-shirt under it and stuffing it so it didn't lay so flat to the legs.
