This costume was fantastic. I used it to recreate a Dr. Horrible costume (added boots and goggles) It was a hit while taking my 6 year old out trick-or-treating. I am also using it for a photo shoot for my company. I will post pictures once we have the photoshoot done. Great quality, fun costume. Well Done!

Came quick - even right before halloween. Was spot on with reviews - was exactly what I was looking for. The belt size was just fine (I heard others complain) - I wear a ~36 waist. Replaced all the black buttons with white and made slit up sides for Dr Horribleness- only thing that was slightly annoying was the tie up in the back (had someone use safety pins to make it look better). Would shop from buycostumes.com again.

This costume is made with a nice heavy fabric. The gloves are heavy-duty rubber gloves, perfect for a mad scientist. The coat does not taper at all - it hangs straight from the shoulders to the ground, so you pretty much have to wear the belt with it. On the downside, it's a pull-over. It doesn't actually button up with all of those buttons, they are for show only. There is a string-tie at the neck, but it will need to be sewn/modified to fit, as on the XL costume it seems to be cut for someone with a 24" neck! It hangs very long. I'm 6"3" and the XL almost touches the ground when I wear it.

The design is great. You'll need to add your own wig and goggles. The lab coat is a very cool design. I wear a large but bought XL since I'll be wearing this over my regular clothes and need a more roomy fit. The front does not open. The back of the lab coat is closed so you have to slip it over your head- but the top of the back is slit open about 12" for plenty of headroom to get it on and off- there are 2 cords to tie it shut (one of them was not sewn on properly and had to be re-sewn). Check the sewing job on the buttons too. The gloves are a great "look" made of thick/solid rubber so your hands will not breathe and things will be very cumbersome to manage with fingers- just keep that in mind. I also bought the mad scientist wig ( item #69446) and looks pretty good. I preferred the Einstein wig but it had too many poor reviews, so I feel the mad scientist wig might be a better choice. You can find aviator or welders goggles to complete the look. Overall I felt this was a good costume- I would especially recommend if you can get it for under $30.
