The hat is well-constructed and our mini dachshund actually doesn't really seem to mind it. You can adjust the little chin strap to make it the desired length, so you can fit a pet of any size.

Ok so I actually got this for my cat...though i think it would be the same problem for a smaller dog as well..if not all dogs i like the idea of the band under the neck being translucent.. though it is way to big in proportion with the size of the hat.. it will not stay on my animal.... The plus side is that i purchased it early enouhg to make some sort of alteration.... When done..this will be great for christmas pictures....i will come and post a pic... :)
