Farming Fun
This costume is good fun. Probably a bit pricey for what you get, but the overall effect is great. I bought this for a Zombie Walk I was attending and it worked really well when I paired it with zombie make-up. I also made a wound on a fake crow to use as a prop.
The dress is cheaply made, but it's meant to look that way, because you're a scarecrow and scarecrows aren't glamorous! The material is comfortable to wear and not scratchy at all (plus, you get a slip to wear underneath as the 'sack' part of the dress is a loose weave and very see-through).
The only complaint that I have is the fastenings. Because this is a 'one size fits all' costume, there are only two little fabric ties on the opening at the back to keep the dress together, which doesn't really work if you're of average size--everyone can see into the opening of your dress! I ended up glueing velcro strips along the opening of the dress which held it together nicely. Also, I did have to take it in a bit when putting the velcro on. I'm 5' 2" and around 65kg.
All-in-all, great fun and comfortable! Not sure when I'll wear it again--maybe I'll make a scary Halloween scarecrow decoration out of it!
