We bought these hats for my daughter's 7th birthday party that was a musketeer theme. The hat itself seemed well made and sturdy. These hats have a feature of allowing one side of the brim to fold up as is shown in the picture. This is supposed to be accomplished by velcro that was simply glued onto the brim and the side of the hat. Several of the hats came with velco that had already come off. Because we got them literally the day before the party, I reglued them. On the hats that still had it on, and the ones I reglued, the velco came off the first time you tried to use it. It should be sewed on them. We were severely disappointed in the quality of them because of this. All of the kids wanted to have the Musketeer look and it did not work.

I purchased this hat to accompany a musketeer costume I purchased earlier from this same website. The costume was wonderful but the accompanying hat left something to be desired. This hat is sturdy and looks as good in person as it does in the websites' provided image. I didn't have any difficulty with the Velcro keeping the side brim up as a former reviewer did. I suspect that her difficulty my have been caused my the feathers getting in the way, as this was an initial issue of mine, but as soon as I cleared the Velcro of any feather pieces it stayed in place all evening. If anyone is apprehensive about the color of the feather, I needed to change the feather to match my costume as well, and this was easily done and was not noticeable.

Great value for the price and does the job. The feather is a little weak and not as feathery as pictured but the hat works well, wasn't cheaply made, and didn't blow off my head (although it wasn't that windy when I wore it). No complaints and recommend.

This was the best value for the price. Nice sturdy construction, size was good for an adult. Everything we expected for just $10 and more.

The hat arrived with my other purchases and that may have had something to do with the condition. The feather is MUCH shorter than pictured and a little thin. The side of the hat pictured as attached to the main section was not attached and it appears that there is a piece of velcro missing to hold the side up.
