My BF was a musketeer this year and this sword was really the perfect addition. The black handle that you can put the sword in did loop through his belt but since the whole piece is bulky it didnt look right so we ended up not using it for the night but still it really works with the costume.

Could not have asked for anything better. It did its job wonderfully. I was fortunate unlike some of the other reviewers as my sword did not break where it attaches to your belt.

this is a nice sword for historical costumes, but we also found that the clip to hold the sword onto a belt was too flimsy and broke off after a few hours. Maybe the company could redesign that area so that the piece is more sturdy? But, all in all, we were quite happy with the sword!

Great as an acessory for an adult costume but not good for children. The tip broke off within the first couple minutes.

Sword worked out great. I had to pack the costume for a flight so the size of the sword worked to fit in my checked luggage. It didn't break and worked well and was really cheap. I recommend electrical taping up the belt loop depending on how much walking/sitting you're going to do to sturdy up the connection, but otherwise a great value. It is small but in my case worked out fine.
