I already had a pirate hat that came with my costume, but wanted one that was smaller- this hat was perfect for my needs. Fits just right, can be angled on the head to add a "sassy" little tilt. The only thing that I did not like- it has 4 little loops on the underside to bobby pin it (I assume) to the head. I opted to buy a small square of felt ($.25 at craft store) and hot glued a piece on either side, which then allowed me to slide a headband through- much more secure for me. Other than that, it is perfect!

I already own one of these sweet little pirate hats and ordered another. I wore the other one so much that I wanted to make sure I had a back up! It is the perfect finishing touch on your pirate costume! Excellent quality and the price is excellent. If you try to price this little gem anywhere else it costs double what BuyCostumes.com wants for it IF you can find it. Grab it while you can! It comes with one little loop on each side to affix it to your hair with bobby pins or clips. I had so many compliments and it goes with all my five different pirate costumes.

I have to say the hat made the costume. Too cute. The only problem I had was getting the hat on, and keeping it secure. There were no directions to put it on....other than that it is great.

hats are a great finishing touch for most outfits, and this little number didn't disappoint! It was a bit tricky to fasten using just the little pin loops on the inside, so I sewed a thin black elastic from one front edge to the opposite rear side - as the hat sits angled the elastic wraps around to keep it in place. I still used little clips in the loops to really pin it down. I found it a little too frilly for my tough pirate costume, so I took one of the bows off and glued some applique stars on the side. The first night out I lost the feather, so bought a replacement and glued it in.
